Quincy Hall - Building Bridges, Not Walls: The Leadership Our Church Needs Today

Quincy Hall, a Candidate for Holy Orders in the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama, embodies the gospel love and courage SIM seeks in those we fund. Quincy writes from Hayneville, Alabama on the 60th anniversary of the martyrdom of SIM alum Jonathan Myrick Daniels:

"This is what prophetic love asks of us — not grand gestures but the daily practice of showing up: choosing to see the image of God in those the world tells us to fear, choosing to create spaces of belonging, choosing to speak hope even when our voices tremble. It's a love that builds bridges instead of walls, a love that refuses to let fear have the final word. ”

 SIM is grateful for the leadership of Quincy and other SIM Becoming Beloved Community scholars, now 100 in number, whose ministries are infusing new life into the Episcopal Church. As we contemplate the state of our world today, this is the kind of leadership that matters.
